LEARN.

Simply put, learn everything you possibly can. Learning is the first step on the journey of progress and growth.  I try to learn more about myself and my world, everyday. So get out there and learn more about your body, learn more about your world, learn more about what inspires you, learn more about your dreams. Learn as if you were to live forever and live as if you will die tomorrow. 

LEAD.

Gain control over the direction of your life. Leading is about inspiring yourself everyday to commit to the promises and goals you make to yourself. Inspire yourself first, and those around you will be inspired. Only you have control over who you are, where your going, and what you want to be. So get out there and lead your journey!

LOVE.

Above all else, we need to love. We need to love who we are, where we're going and what we want to be. Everyday teaches us and helps us to grow. Love your life everyday and it will love you back.

LEARN ABOUT THE FOOD YOU'RE EATING.

Learning about the vitamins and minerals in certain foods and how they effect our body and mind really opened my eyes. The time you spend learning about nutrition is really an investment in yourself and your health. Ever since I started to expanded my knowledge of food, I found myself really WANTING to choose healthy options. 

EVERY MEAL IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO NOURISH YOUR BODY.

It's your choice at the end of the day. Every single meal you eat is your chance to be healthier. Remember, these choices build up, the more positive ones you make the more positive results you will see.

A LITTLE BIT EVERYDAY.

I apply this to every part of my life. Its about breaking up big goals into smaller tasks that you know you can accomplish. It is these little steps we take everyday that bring us closer to what we want. If your goal is to eat healthier, start at one meal each day. If it is to get fit, start with a 10 minute workout/stretch and gradually build up when you are ready.

Doing it everyday will build a habit and eventually it will become a part of your daily routine. Something that 'you just do'. 

What can you do TODAY to bring you closer to your goal?

MOVE YOUR BODY.

This is what we were designed to do. The benefits of exercise are endless and more than I can explain. I am a huge believer in spontaneous exercise and incorporating movement into our daily tasks. Walking instead of driving, taking the stairs, investing in a bicycle or having a catch up with friends over something active like a yoga class or walk in the park. Our bodies thank us for moving with the release of 'feel good' endorphins. So get out there and feel good!

YOUR WORKOUT DOESN'T HAVE TO BREAK YOU.

This personally was a hard thing to learn. Coming from a competitive background, I always thought I had to be sweating and out of breath by the end of a session. I see now that it is the consistency and variety we keep in our workouts that gives us results. Make it fun and something you WANT to do everyday.

MAKE TIME FOR YOU.

Reconnect with yourself. Make time to do something that makes you happy. This time feeds our creativity, our positive thinking and our motivation to look after ourselves. If you don't schedule time to do something for you, no one else will.
